Many thanks to everyone who supported our 24th annual Women Build event this past weekend at Valor Vista a new 7-home neighborhood in Midtown, to celebrate women in construction and female homebuyers. Seven families’ dreams will come true in just a few months as they move into this little Tucson neighborhood before summer.

Out of the 17 households within Habitat Tucson’s program, 14 are woman-led. All have risen to the challenge of completing financial literacy classes and sweat equity hours. These women are creating a new future for themselves and their families. By moving into Habitat Tucson homes, they and their children will have a safe place to live for generations.

We’re in the news! Watch now!

Since 2022, there has been an affordable housing shortage of about 270,000 homes across Arizona. Habitat Tucson is working to solve this critical issue by partnering with families; advocating for affordable housing on the local, state, and federal levels; and developing new and innovative ways to build homes faster.

Habitat Tucson is excited to complete 20 homes by the end of June. Habitat for Humanity Tucson has created impact for over 40 years, and we will finish our 500th house this summer!

Women Build is supported year-round by the Women Builders, a giving circle of donors who advocate for equitable opportunity and believe that every woman deserves a safe decent place to call home. Women Builders do more than just help fund one house… They inspire and empower confident, brave women that are willing to step out of their comfort zone and learn new skills such as construction and financial literacy.

You can get involved in a few different ways.

Finally, we would like to thank all our sponsors & donors:
