Eligibility and Requirements

Before applying, it is important to understand the basic qualifications for the Habitat for Humanity Tucson program. These requirements ensure that families who most need the opportunity for affordable homeownership in Tucson are able to access it.

Habitat Tucson partners with families who are willing to be successful homeowners. Families learn how to pay for their homes, maintain their homes and connect with their community. We require our families to take our homebuyer education classes on topics ranging from finance and budgeting to home repair and maintenance. Additionally, Habitat provides family mentors who meet regularly with Habitat families to guide them through the home buying process.
