Why donate your car to Habitat for Humanity Tucson?

Your car isn’t just a vehicle. It’s where life unfolded. It carried laughter on family road trips, teenager driving lessons, quiet moments on late-night drives and memories you’ll never forget. We know saying goodbye is more than handing over keys. It’s closing a chapter.

When you opt for car donation in Tucson, donate truck, boat, RV, or other vehicle to Habitat for Humanity, you give those memories new meaning. Your gift helps build safe, affordable homes for families and protects the environment by recycling your vehicle responsibly.

  • Local impact: Net proceeds from the sale of your vehicle support Habitat for Humanity and help local families in our communities.
  • Possible tax deduction: Your vehicle donation may qualify for a tax deduction.

Simple process: It is fast and easy to start, and pickup is coordinated after acceptance.

Yes. Your vehicle does not need to be running in order to donate it. However, it does need to have all tires inflated.

Your deduction is generally based on the vehicle’s sale price.

  • If your vehicle sells for more than $500, you may be eligible to deduct the full selling price.
  • If your vehicle sells for $500 or less, you can generally deduct the fair market value, up to $500.

We recommend talking with your tax advisor about your specific situation.
