Siria is a single mother of two children: Nathaniel (Drew), 7 years old and Alisiana, 10 months. She has been a Casino del Sol maintenance and jackpot employee since 2006. Currently Siria is renting a very small manufactured home that is in disrepair. Siria accompanied her mother and sister to a Habitat Information Session and with their encouragement she overcame her uncertainty and applied for a Habitat home.
Siria has overcome her fear of hammering and is learning many new skills at the construction site.
Drew is eager to decorate his own room every holiday and in particular for Halloween and Christmas. Now that Siria has been selected she is very happy and excited to see what is going to happen next in her life.
Siria looks forward to having something to show for all the years of hard work and dedication. She is thankful to have her family’s support and encouragement and is beginning to see that her dreams can come true.
