HabiStore volunteer shares her experience

Marina Blanco has learned a lot through her HabiStore Volunteer Experience.

“I love helping people and this has changed my life,” Marina said about her involvement and continuous dedication at the HabiStore in Tucson.

Marina has helped our team for the last four months as a HabiStore volunteer and her work has left an impression on everyone.

Marina, a volunteer and intern at HabiStore, has devoted more than 25 hours a week to be a part of our hardworking team. When she is not helping people at the HabiStore, she is a full-time student at Carrington College. She is pursuing a career as a dental hygienist.

Furthermore, she has fallen in love with Habitat for Humanity Tucson and the mission of helping build a stronger community.

“My favorite moment is closing time when all the volunteers get to hang out and enjoy each others’ company. Everyone is so nice and helpful and we get to work together as a team.”

“When people come to HabiStore, the smiles on their faces to pick things out they need is remarkable,” said Marina.

As Marina is wrapping up her internship, HabiStore will forever leave an impression on her heart.
