In loving memory…
On Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, Habitat Tucson lost a dear friend and devoted volunteer.
Bill Scott lived a long, full life. He was a beloved member of our cohort of regular volunteers, having served in a number of roles at Habitat – from volunteering at construction events, to serving on the Board, and eventually as Board President.
But his true love was working alongside the staff and volunteers at the HabiStore. He enjoyed the challenge of helping shoppers hunt for that perfect addition to their home. Additionally, he was a talent craftsman, who embraced the HabiStore’s mission by upcycling home goods and repurposing used furniture items.
Bill once said that one of the wonders of working with Habitat is that it brings out a certain determination in people that money cannot buy.

He is remembered by his friends, family and wife – another long-time Habitat Tucson friend.
We were blessed to have him with us as a friend and colleague.
He will be sorely missed.
Memorial services will be held for Bill Scott on Saturday, January 16th at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church.
