Thank you Lowe’s Home Improvement for supporting National Women Build week!
Over 100 volunteers helped raise the walls on two new homes in Tucson! These volunteers included members of the Tucson community, Women Build sponsors and Lowe’s Heroes. They worked alongside future homebuyers.
We’re grateful to have worked alongside so many smiling faces in partnership with future home buyers and hardworking, local families!
Additionally, a single mother of five became a homeowner as she received the keys to her new safe and stable home!
Habitat for Humanity Tucson was one of over 300 affiliates nationwide that hosted Women Build events. Women Build does not exclude men – it includes and encourages women!Â
Learn more about Women Build
Women Build challenges and empowers women from all walks of life to help build affordable homes for hardworking and deserving Tucson families.
Women Build helps women gain confidence and skills, and serve more families. Female crew leaders help oversee the construction out on site and a dedicated team of women help fundraise the full cost of each home.
Join Lowe’s (Speedway & Kolb location) for a FREE class on Construction Tool Safety on Saturday, April 29th from 8 – 9 am! Must be 16-year-old to participate. Contact Brooke at brookess@habitattucson.org to RSVP or to find out more information!
