Meet Matt Steiner

The HabiStore’s very own Lone Ranger.

Matt is full of good ideas. He does his daily tasks of mopping, laundering and folding aprons, and cleaning the carpets at the Habitat for Humanity Tucson HabiStore with care. Then he looks at other areas of the HabiStore to see what else could benefit from his imagination. So far, he has organized the safety equipment area in the back of the store and designed a task list for volunteers when they have down time. He has also embraced Habitat’s focus on conservation and building green and has researched and introduced new environmentally friendly cleaning products to the store.

Matt loves anything western themed so the cleaning pony is the Silver to his Lone Ranger.[mk_image src=”https://habitattucson.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/2017-07-25-23.14.39.jpg” image_size=”full” frame_style=”rounded”]The cleaning pony holds all his important products that he uses keep the HabiStore sparkling as well as his cleaning binder decorated with pictures of Annie Oakley and Ford Rangers and Mustangs. No pictures of Barry Manilow, however, even though he is a self-admitted devoted fan.

His spirit, his imagination and dedication are inspiring to be around and the HabiStore is lucky to have such a good-hearted ranger on the volunteer team.

Without the dedication of our volunteers, we would not be able to build strong, stable, and self-reliant communities. They are the backbone of our mission and our greatest advocates. To learn more about our volunteer opportunities here.
