Learn a new skill

You don’t need any prior experience to get started–our crew leaders are as friendly as they are knowledgable!
“You start building in the morning, and 6 hours later you can literally see the work that’s been done,” says Habitat volunteer TC Tolbert. “It’s so satisfying.”
Meet new folks

When Janet, now a regular at the HabiStore, first started volunteering with us, she was particularly struck by the sense of friendship found with staff and fellow volunteers.
“This is a great environment. I’ve volunteered a couple other places – but there wasn’t that feeling of we’re-in-this-together. This by far has the best work environment,” Janet says.
Declutter, and do good with it!

Often we put off getting rid of items we don’t use or need because of a fear of being wasteful. Luckily, the furniture, appliances, art, lighting, doors, hardware, or tools gathering dust in your storage could be given a second life at the HabiStore!
By donating your gently-used furniture, housewares, or building supplies to the HabiStore, you’re diverting waste from the landfill and helping us raise money towards affordable homeownership. Plus, we offer free scheduled pick-up!Schedule a Free Pickup!
Save $$$
[mk_image src=”https://habitattucson.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/habistore-from-above_5-scaled.jpg” image_size=”large”]When you shop at the HabiStore, you’re not only helping the environment and helping to build homes, you’re saving about 50-70% off of retail price. BONUS: if an item doesn’t sell, we mark it down 25% at the end of the month.
Better yet, volunteer at the HabiStore for the opportunity to lay your eyes on new treasures as soon as they come in the door.

You can help families in our community build independence through affordable homeownership by becoming a monthly donor or making a gift in your will.
Give back to the community
[mk_image src=”https://habitattucson.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/ladder-smile_0140.jpg” image_size=”large”]This is one of the most meaningful resolutions you can make. Giving back won’t only transform the lives of others, it will benefit your own life as well. The good news is that everything listed previously ties into this resolution. Whether you want to volunteer, donate, or cheer on from the sidelines, you can help families in our community build independence through affordable homeownership.
Happy New Year, and whatever your goals for 2022, we’re cheering you on!
