We Celebrate the Distinguished Humanitarian’s Latest Milestone
It is with great joy that we celebrate the milestone birthday of President Carter, as America’s oldest living president and one of Habitat’s most devoted volunteers turns 100 years old.
President Carter’s time in the White House was defined by his generous spirit. Alongside his wife Rosalyn, President Carter demonstrated his commitment to social justice and basic human rights over and over again during his presidency. Their legacy only grew afterwards.
Dating back to 1984, President and the lateMrs. Carter worked alongside nearly 104,000 volunteers in 14 countries to build, renovate and repair 4,390 Habitat for Humanity homes.
