On Saturday March 8, 2014 from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, Radiology Ltd. partnered with Habitat for Humanity Tucson to build a new home on Tucson’s south side. Along with their monetary gift to Habitat for Humanity, employees from Radiology Ltd traded lab coats for hard hats to help build on site. The group, comprised of Radiology Ltd. employees, worked in Habitat Tucson’s Copper Vista Neighborhood, located at 1330 E Copper Vista Drive, Tucson, AZ 85719 (near Park Avenue and Drexel Road).
“We are thrilled to add Radiology Ltd. to our list of partners,” said Joseph Howell, Habitat Tucson’s Interim Director of Development. “Every Habitat home is built with more than 2,200 volunteer hours and $85,000 in donations. Because of Radiology Ltd. we are closer to helping another hardworking family attain the dream of homeownership.”
The donation from Radiology Ltd. will be allocated to Habitat Tucson’s Women Build Home. The Women Build program helps empower women, while providing them with experience in construction, a non-traditional trade. Habitat Tucson is also very deliberate about assigning female crew leaders to help oversee the construction itself out on site. This program has had a powerful impact on volunteers; it offers a female bonding experience unlike any of our other builds.
“We are honored to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity,” said Chip Hardesty, COO of Radiology Ltd. “Tucson has supported our practice for 80 years now and we are thrilled to be able to give back to worthy organizations such as Habitat for Humanity,

Radiology Ltd. employs more than 350 technical and administrative personnel in Tucson. As part of their mission, they contribute regularly to hundreds of causes and organizations locally. “We care deeply about the community we live and work in”, stated Hardesty. “we strive to make a difference by supporting local philanthropic causes and organizations such as Habitat for Humanity both as an organization and as individuals who volunteer their personal time.”
For 33 years, Habitat Tucson has provided homeownership opportunities to Pima County’s lowest-income, highest-aspirational families. In addition to building and financing these homes, Habitat Tucson is as a public-policy catalyst and financing partner for thousands of other at-risk families, helping them obtain affordable housing solutions in partnership with other providers, and through such new community assets as capitalized housing trust-funds and land trusts.
